Company Overview
Honeycomb Energy Technology Co., Ltd. focuses on the research, development, production and sales of new energy vehicle power batteries and energy storage battery systems. The company has been conducting preliminary research on power batteries since 2012, and officially developed independently for the entire industry in 2018. The main products currently include battery cells, modules, battery packs, and a full range of energy storage products such as large-scale energy storage, unit energy storage, medium-sized energy storage, home storage, and portable energy storage. It can provide customers with overall solutions for power batteries and energy storage products according to their needs. Honeycomb Energy took the lead in building an automotive-grade AI smart power battery factory in Jintan, Jiangsu. Phase I, Phase II, and Phase III of the Jintan factory were put into production in 2019, 2020, and 2021, respectively. Honeycomb Energy implements a dual-wheel drive strategy of power + energy storage to develop two major business segments: power batteries and energy storage. In the power battery business, Honeycomb Energy continues to innovate and advance in materials, processes, battery cells, and structures. In terms of material innovation, Honeycomb Energy has launched cobalt-free material batteries, and simultaneously carried out research and development optimization of mainstream high-nickel ternary batteries, as well as research and development of cutting-edge technologies such as solid-state batteries, lithium-sulfur, and lithium-air batteries. In terms of process innovation, Honeycomb Energy was the first to apply the stacking process to the field of square hard-shell batteries, and successfully developed the third-generation ultra-high-speed stacking technology-flying stacking, with a speed of 0.125S/sheet, which is close to winding, and has now been achieved in large-scale mass production applications. In terms of battery cell innovation, Honeycomb Energy has launched a new battery category, the Short Knife Battery, covering the full charging range from 1.6-4C, and can be used in passenger cars, energy storage, commercial vehicles, construction machinery, non-high-speed trams and other full-domain scenarios, covering the full range of cobalt-free, ternary, and lithium iron phosphate chemical systems. In terms of structural innovation, Honeycomb Energy has successfully launched the LCTP3.0-Dragon Scale Armor Battery, with a system volume grouping rate of 76%, which has set a new industry record. It has successfully passed the China Automotive Research Institute's thermal diffusion experiment and is about to be mass-produced and installed. In the energy storage business, Honeycomb Energy Storage can provide the research and development, production, sales, operation and maintenance, and energy operation services of the full range of energy storage products and systems. At present, Honeycomb Energy Storage has released a full range of short knife energy storage cells and products for three major scenarios: power, industry and commerce, and home, including the industry's first L500 325Ah power storage cell, L600 168Ah home energy storage cell, and L600 124Ah industrial and commercial energy storage cell; representative energy storage systems include the world's ultra-thin home energy storage system and ultra-thin household storage inverter with a thickness of only 66mm, 99KWh industrial and commercial energy storage system, and liquid-cooled power storage system using 325Ah short knife cells. At present, Honeycomb Energy has completed the delivery and grid connection of large-scale energy storage projects in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Hebei, Gansu, Zhejiang, Xinjiang and other places, such as the 400MWh energy storage project in Aksu, Xinjiang, the 40MWh wind power energy storage project of State Power Investment Corporation in Al Horqin Banner, Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, the grid-connected power generation of Hubei Jinkai New Energy Shishou shared energy storage power station, and the distributed energy storage power station cooperation project between Midea Group and Fusion Energy.
