Beijing Normal University Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as BNU Optoelectronics) was established in 1976. It is a school-run enterprise with independent legal personality of Beijing Normal University and one of the earliest manufacturers of professional photometric instruments in my country. The main products of BNU Optoelectronics include light radiation and color measurement instruments such as illuminance meter, brightness meter, irradiance meter, ultraviolet irradiance meter, spectrophotometer, LED light intensity meter, etc., which are widely used in industrial and agricultural production, environmental protection, medical and health, scientific research and other fields. So far, nearly 100,000 units/pieces of various instruments have been put on the market. Among them, products such as illuminance meter and ultraviolet irradiance meter are measuring instruments on the national verification catalog. At the beginning of its establishment, BNU Optoelectronics obtained the production license of measuring instruments with professional quality and has passed the license re-inspection for more than ten times. In addition to finalized products, it also provides solutions and consultation for related measurement technologies to meet the personalized needs of users, and develops products and provides technical support for users with "research and development innovation, rapid response and high-quality service". For many years, BNU Optoelectronics has relied on the Optoelectronic Detection Laboratory of BNU and the Beijing Key Laboratory of Applied Optics as its technical support, and has been committed to the research and development of optical radiation measuring instruments. It has become one of the influential units in this field in China. The research results and related instruments developed have won more than ten scientific and technological achievement awards from the National Science Conference, the National Defense Industry Office, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Electronics and Beijing. Many of the works have reached domestic and even international advanced levels. The customer groups that receive relevant technical services include the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the China Institute of Metrology, the First Academy of Aerospace, the Second Academy of Aerospace, the Fifth Academy of Aerospace, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University and other well-known domestic institutes and universities. BNU Optoelectronics has obtained the "Metrology Standard Assessment Certificate" for illuminance meters, brightness meters, and spectral irradiance measuring instruments issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation, and can carry out calibration of corresponding metrological products. Founded in 1978, FLIR pioneered high-performance, low-cost infrared (thermal) imaging systems for airborne applications. Thermal imaging systems detect infrared energy (heat) radiated by all people, objects, and materials. Thermal imaging cameras enable operators to see people and objects in total darkness, in poor weather, and through airborne contaminants such as smoke and fog. In the late 1980s, FLIR began to leverage its experience in infrared imaging technology to develop handheld laboratory systems for a variety of commercial applications that required not only excellent image quality but also the ability to detect and measure temperature differences. This work was accelerated with the acquisition of the Industrial Infrared Imaging Group from Hughes Aircraft Company in 1990. Later, FLIR acquired Agema (Sweden) in 1998 and Inframetrics (Boston, Massachusetts) in mid-1999, providing the support infrastructure for FLIR's engineering and sales teams and accelerating FLIR's success in the commercial thermal imaging market. Together, Agema and Inframetrics represent more than 60 years of significant infrared camera development and thermal imaging application expertise. Agema developed the first commercial infrared scanner designed for power line inspection in 1965, developed a battery-powered portable infrared scanner in 1973, introduced a dual-wavelength system capable of real-time analog recording for R&D in 1978, and introduced the uncooled infrared camera, the Agema 570, in 1997. Inframetrics, also a pioneer in commercial infrared cameras and thermal imaging training, developed a TV-compatible infrared system in 1975 and a full-featured camera-type focal plane array (FPA) infrared camera in 1995. In 2003, FLIR acquired Indigo Systems, a leading developer and supplier of a wide range of infrared imaging products, including cooled and uncooled infrared detectors, thermal imager cores, and complete thermal imagers. To date, FLIR has invested in numerous adjacent markets, technologies, and products to expand its sensor solution portfolio and its ability to serve a wider range of customers. These investments have resulted in revenue and sales growth, which has helped reduce costs and, in turn, lower prices for users. This has resulted in significant customer growth and increased global awareness of the powerful capabilities of thermal imaging technology. Currently, FLIR operates in multiple locations around the world with more than 3,000 dedicated employees.
