- Stock removal rate: The amount of material removed from the workpiece per unit of time, usually measured in cubic millimeters per minute.
- Surface roughness: A measure of the smoothness or roughness of the ground surface, usually quantified using parameters such as Ra (arithmetical mean roughness).
