Warp: The set of yarns that run lengthwise in a woven fabric. They are held under tension on the loom during the weaving process.

Weft: The yarns that are inserted across the width of a woven fabric, perpendicular to the warp.

Yarn Count: A measure of the fineness or coarseness of the yarn. It's usually expressed in terms such as tex (weight in grams per 1000 meters of yarn) or denier (weight in grams per 9000 meters of yarn).

Carding: The process of disentangling, cleaning, and aligning fibers using a carding machine.
